**About the role**

Here at Babcock International we are looking for a Procurement Specialist to work on our various exciting projects. In this role, you will be interacting closely with key stakeholders, including the accounts team and numerous suppliers to drive the operationalexecution of projects, bids and other critical business activities. We are looking for an individual with great communication skills and a sound understanding of end-to-end sourcing to support our ever-growing team to ensure the successful management of ourprocurement operations

**Responsibilities**
- Close involvement with suppliers & stakeholders to identify and implement the most cost effective and technically efficient supply solutions in respect of cost, performance, product and/or service quality and programme
- Leading negotiations (utilising a robust strategy) with suppliers to ensure that the most cost effective supply solutions are obtained
- Support the development and execution of a Segmented Supplier Relationship Management strategy that; improves supplier performance, develops critical/strategic relationships, attracts innovation, reduces risk and contributes to the growth of the value deliveryplan
- Close liaison with Quality Assurance, Project Management, Engineering and Planning on all aspects of supply chain activities
- Ensuring that all technical and quality requirements are fully satisfied and that all material and service requirements are supplied in accordance with Project programmes

**What do I need to do the role?**

You'll need to be qualified to a degree level (e.g. Supply Chain or Procurement)

Would also like you to have experience in all or some of these areas: NEC knowledge (highly desirable)

Lastly, you'll need to be able to achieve Security Clearance (BPSS)

CIPS qualified (highly desirable)

5 - 10 years' experience (desirable)
