Senior Procurement Specialist - Procurement Business PartnerDefence / Nuclear Sector - CheshireAbout Our ClientWorking as a Senior Procurement Specialist you with be working for a leading organisation supporting multiple clients across multiple sectors. This client has multiple site, this role is based in Cheshire.Job DescriptionThe Senior Procurement Specialist will develop and execute Project Procurement strategies. You will act as a procurement business partner and be involved in end-to-end procurement. You must have experience of supplier management and complex contracting experience ( NEC3/4).Lead and manage a procurement projects and delivery of value across cost, quality, and programme targets.Develop and execute strategic sourcing and procurement plans aligned with project and business objectives.Build strong stakeholder relationships to align goals and drive collaboration.Establish and maintain a robust, innovative supply chain that supports functional and commercial needs.Oversee tendering, supplier evaluation, and contract award processes with full transparency and governance.Mitigate commercial risks and manage post-contract execution to protect business interests.Collaborate closely with Commercial, QA, Projects, and Corporate Services to ensure seamless supply chain operations.Monitor supplier performance, driving continuous improvement and value creation.The Successful ApplicantA successful Senior Procurement Specialist should have:A strong track record in project management including end to end procurement's- contract and SRM.You must have a good understanding of cost models/business models particularly in relation to the NEC models, familiarity with accounting practices, commercial audits, forecasting and valuations and supplier costing models.Experience and development and implementation of NEC3/ 4 contracting model is essentialProactively ensures contract compliance exists and proposes and monitors correction plans to ensure any non-compliance is eliminated.Package Management experience of 'cradle to grave' Supply Chain Management would be advantageous.Strong negotiating and strategic planning skills are essentialOutstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.Ideally a degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field or equivalent experienceThis role required SC clearance if you have that already it would be advantageousWhat's on OfferAs a Senior Procurement Specialist you will have an opportunity to progress your career and be rewarded;Competitive salary of approximately £60,000 to £70,000 per annum + bonusSupportive company culture with lots of opportunity to developExposure to exciting projects within the nuclear defence sectorHybrid working with 2 days on site in Cheshire
