**The Merchant Hotel has currently got an exciting opportunity for a** **Receptionist**

**The essential criteria for this position is**:

- At least one years’ experience working in a similar reception position.
- An understanding of the importance of quality guest service.
- Excellent Communication skills with an excellent command of the English language.
- Excellent Presentation and Interpersonal skills.
- Effective Organisational Skills.
- A good working knowledge of Front Office Systems and good IT skills

**The role of receptionist at The Merchant Hotel**:

- To provide a warm welcome to all our guests and visitors in the area of Front of House whilst offering assistance throughout their stay/experience in our hotel, in order to both meet and exceed their expectations.
- Administrative support for Front of House
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Hotel and all operations
- To be familiar and up to date with hotels offers (special packages, restaurants, services)
- To work at maintaining the department’s and hotel’s AA Red Star grading
- Shift work to include evenings and weekends
- Working with the hotels booking systems, full training will be provided
