Production Scheduler

**SUMMARY**
The Production Scheduler is responsible for developing and facilitating accurate production schedules for multiple machining and assembly operations with an understanding of shop floor capacity, customer requirements, raw material/component availability, and data reliability.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Develop and facilitate accurate production schedules considering shop floor capacity, customer priorities, and raw material/components.
- Liaison between machining and assembly functions and outside suppliers.
- Identify and resolve machine and labor capacity and/or component related issues.
- Maintains and updates delivery dates for internal and external customers.
- Identify product and system flow improvements to eliminate non-value added operations.
- Communicate priorities for processing workflow through receiving, inspection, machining, assembly, and shipping.
- Analyze impact of non-conforming material, determine an appropriate corrective action plan, and ensure that suppliers and internal operations are informed and following the plan.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
**Critical Competencies**
- Highly organized, effective communications skills, ability to multitask
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, knowledge of lean manufacturing scheduling techniques, working knowledge of ERP systems thorough understanding of supply chain concepts/terms.
- Ability to conduct daily communication with internal customers (shop floor Supervisors, shop floor associates, Customers Service/Sales, and Engineering departments) to share information about customers, sales orders, schedules, and capacity.
- Daily communication with suppliers to coordinate workflow and discuss expediting issues, as appropriate.
**Education and Experience Requirements**
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Two to five years’ experience or related training in a machining/assembly environment
**Physical Demand and Work Environment**:
- Exposure to paint fumes, solvents, oil and grease throughout the production floor.
- Lifting up to fifty pounds.
