**Job Summary**
The Kiosk Member - Sushi Production is responsible for preparing fresh, high-quality sushi products, maintaining a clean and organised workstation, and providing excellent customer service within a kiosk or supermarket environment. This role ensures food safety, delivers consistent product quality, and supports daily operational tasks to maintain an efficient and welcoming kiosk experience.
**Key Responsibilities Sushi Preparation & Production**
- Prepare sushi rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and related items following company recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
- Ensure all products are consistently fresh, visually appealing, and ready for display.
- Properly handle knives and sushi-making equipment, maintaining safe and efficient workflow.
**Food Safety & Cleanliness**
- Follow all food hygiene, safety, and sanitation procedures (e.g., temperature control, cross-contamination prevention, proper storage).
- Clean and sanitize work surfaces, tools, displays, and preparation areas throughout the day.
- Check product dates, rotate stock (FIFO), and discard outdated or unsellable items.
**Customer Service**
- Greet customers, assist with product inquiries, and offer recommendations.
- Provide samples when appropriate and promote daily specials or new items.
- Handle customer concerns professionally and ensure a positive shopping experience.
**Kiosk Operations**
- Set up, restock, and maintain the sushi display case to ensure a full, attractive presentation.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including inventory, prep work, and end-of-day cleaning.
- Follow cash-handling procedures if assigned to point-of-sale activities.
- Communicate supply needs and report equipment issues to management.
**Job Requirements**
- No formal education required; high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in food preparation, culinary work, or sushi-making is an asset but not mandatory (training provided).
**Skills & Competencies**
- Basic knife skills and comfort working with raw fish and fresh ingredients.
- Strong attention to detail for consistent portioning and presentation.
- Ability to follow instructions, recipes, and food safety protocols.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: £12.21-£18.28 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
