Teqniq is searching for a **Youth Justice Officer** to work in the public sector.

36 hours per week.

3 months contract.

Youth Justice Officers are responsible for supervising young people on court orders and out of court disposals, working with complex families in accordance with statutory obligations, National Standards. The aim of this supervision it to reduce their rates of re-offending, and improve their future prospects, and increase the safety of the residents of Waltham Forest. The post holder will be part of the inter-disciplinary Youth Justice Service that provides community and through care services to children and young people who progress through the Criminal Justice process.

**Main Accountabilities'**:
Provide timely and high quality reports to the court and to Referral Order Panels.

Complete comprehensive Asset plus assessments.

Deliver tailored interventions to address the needs of the child/ young person.

Encourage compliance by children and young people with their court order and take enforcement action in accordance with National Standards in cases of non-compliance.

Record evidence of the supervision on the YJS’s information systems in accordance with local standards.

Conduct home visits and prison visits in accordance with National Standards.

Meet the holistic needs of the young person by adopting an end-to-end supervision approach to the young person and their carers.

The Youth Justice Service is based at Rowan House, Leytonstone.
