Mackenzie King is excited to be again working with one of our long term clients to recruit the position of **Accounts Assistant**. This Suffolk Top 100 company is looking for an **Accounts Assistant** to join their friendly and supportive team. The main responsibility of this role will be to manage daily bank transactions and reconciliations for all areas across the business, ensuring they are correctly posted and allocated.The **Accounts Assistant** will also support other areas of the finance department including purchase ledger and credit control.
**Key Tasks and Responsibilities**
- Posting and correct allocation of customer receipts, working alongside credit control to ensure money is allocated in a timely and accurate manner.
- Posting and correct allocation of supplier and business payments, working alongside purchase ledger and the wider finance team to ensure money is allocated and posted in a timely and accurate manner.
- Posting of credit card receipts and allocation to cash sales accounts.
- Daily bank reconciliation.
- Support for scanning and preparation of purchase ledger invoices on a daily basis.
- Some support for purchase ledger invoice processing, particularly during busy periods such as month end or as holiday cover.
- Daily support to credit control to answer phone calls from customers and across the business.

- Any other ad-hoc duties as required.
**Qualifications and Experience**
Experience in an Accounts Assistant role is desirable but not essential. Someone driven with the right positive attitude to supporting the team could receive the training needed to undertake the role.
