Volunteer with Our Cooking Team in Central Bradford On Monday Evenings

**FoodCycle is looking for volunteers (unpaid) for our project in central Bradford on Monday evenings**
We are FoodCycle, and our vision is to make food poverty, loneliness and food waste a thing of the past for every community. With community dining, week in, week out we feed the hungry and give company to the lonely in our communities; providing delicious meals and great conversation, and using food which would otherwise go to waste.
**Like to meet and chat with people, and looking for a fun way to make a difference in your community?**
We're looking for **volunteers** who can join the cooking team at the Deaf Centre, 25 Hallfield Road, Bradford BD1 3RP on Monday evenings. Our cooking volunteers arrive at 5:30pm, and we're usually finished around 8:30pm.
- What do cooking volunteers do?_
- **You’ll roll your sleeves up, sport a fetching hairnet and join the kitchen team to produce a three-course vegetarian meal using surplus food**:
- **Decide as a team what to cook with the food that's been delivered that day**:
- **You’ll be peeling, chopping, frying, mixing, boiling and washing up**:
- **Work with the hosting team to ensure the courses are served to our guests warm and fresh**:
- **But most of all, you’ll have a lot of fun**
Our kitchen team is usually made up of between 3 and 5 volunteers, and each session is guided by a wonderful Project Leader who will show you what to do, and be their to guide you through the meal. _**You don't need to be available every Monday, and can sign up for as many or as few sessions as you'd like to fit around your own schedule.**_
We want to be able to keep up with the demand in the area and so it's only with your help we can keep going
