Quality Engineer

CRS are currently assisting our oil and gas client in sourcing a full time Quality Engineer / Inspector, to join the offices in Lancaster on a permanent basis.
An exciting time to join the company who are again enjoying a really busy period of growth within this division.
Working within a Project environment, your role is to provide turn-key quality control services and documentation in accordance with processes and procedures.
**Main Responsibilities and Activities of the Quality Engineer**:
- Champion Quality Control best practise within all areas of the business.
- To achieve and maintain internal Quality Control objectives against current legislation internal standards and project needs with a view that all targets are achieved.
- Implement and manage; internal, quality control audits.
- Manage continuous QC performance improvements.
- Manage Company and Project requirements to establish supplier quality requirements, expectations, and capabilities.
- Lead supplier QC visits.
- Take a risk-based approach to all aspects of Quality Control.
- Goods inwards and patrol / in process inspection.
- Implementation of inspection regimes and best practise.
- Subcontractor liaison.
- Inspection of assemblies and release of finished products in accordance with ITP’s.
- System maintenance; Inspection tools & calibration schedule, etc.
**Requirements**:
The ability to read engineering drawings and generate reports.
Experience with Hand-held measuring instruments and Faro Arm is highly desired.
Computer literate and good IT skills.
Familiar with the use of ISO 9001-2015 documentation and processes.
Interaction and management of suppliers.
