The Core Banking Centre of Excellence is responsible for running, the maintenance and evolution (including technical transformation) of the Santander's Partenon core banking platform within the UK for the Retail and Corporate banks.

This is a strategic role mainly responsible for keeping the Core Banking Platform running by managing a team of qualified professionals, nurturing the interaction with the software vendors and keeping the relationship with the broader IT and business community in the bank.

**The difference you’ll make**
- Managing of the core platform. The role holder also responsible for managing Dashboard KPis for the area and identifying resources for further maintenance needs
- Delivering on all core Partenon service delivery including the incident and maintenance lifecycle in line with Santander UK’s strategic business priorities and Santander Digital Services technical roadmap
- Providing leadership for the maintenance of Gravity suite, managing interactions with stakeholders from both technology and the business (Retail, Business Banking and Corporate) as well the rest of the domain CIOs and Centre of Excellence leaders
- Establishing, maintaining and maturing the relationship with the Partenon
software supplier (Santander Digital Services) to ensure excellent two way communications, feedback and mutual understanding
- Being a Subject Matter Expert for Gravity technical knowledge to guide and support teams working on the maintenance of the platform - this may also
include providing expertise to stakeholders outside of Core Banking or other Santander Group entities

**What you’ll bring**:

- Budget planning, control and execution with a focus on cost-effectiveness
- Assess the quality of the services offered and identify areas that need
improvement, proactively identifying potential issues and mitigating business risks
- Stakeholder management - interface, develop and manage relationships with the stakeholders for the services within the scope of responsibility, like
business owners, customers, suppliers, build and operational representatives
- Designs work methodology for teams to maximize output with lean resources Monitors teamwork to ensure the execution of simple processes and ensures they are applied in projects in an efficient and effective manner

This role is based in Milton Keynes and our current expectation is at least 2 days in the office every week.

**Application process
1st Stage - Technical Interview - this will be a 30 min technical interview with one of the team.

2nd Stage - A one-hour formal interview where we will ask both technical and competency-based questions. This can be done virtually or face to face depending on your situation.
