**Job Summary (Description of main purpose of job)**

To support the Service in providing high standards of care and quality of life. In particular to provide high quality support and promote independence in all aspects of daily life to people in their own homes, in training, in employment and in leisure activities.
- Experience desirable but not essential of supporting or caring for others, especially those with a learning disability, either from family, employment or voluntary work
- Experience of working within a team as well as working independently
- Able to communicate effectively with people, including people using services, their families and colleagues
- Willingness to support people with domestic tasks, such as cooking, cleaning and shopping
- Committed to the concept of supporting people - maximising employment, training, community and leisure opportunities
