Our Bathgate facility has an opening for a **Materials Planner**to join the team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient packaging and distribution of clinical trial materials. Working closely with multiple departments including Procurement, Packaging, and Quality Assurance to maintain optimal stock levels.

**The Role**:

- End-to-end oversight and responsibility for the materials management process of Bathgate from material ordering through inventory management to eventual use and expiry.
- Overall management of the Materials Resource Planning (MRP) process at the site, ensuring that all Catalent-managed materials adhere to appropriate inventory levels and are re-ordered as needed to ensure a continuity of supply as necessary for the business.
- Responsibility for inventory accuracy at the site, coordinating between other Supply Chain functions and Finance to ensure coherence between ERP and physical stock levels.
- Maintaining control of material costs and optimising where possible in collaboration with procurement (e.g. minimum order quantities, batch sizes) and reduction in material waste.
- Continuous improvement of materials practices and processes on the site, including harmonisation of ways of working with other Catalent sites.
- BA Degree in related field
- Proven experience in a planning function or supply chain field
- Supply chain qualification preferred
- Good knowledge of Enterprise Resources Planning systems (JD Edwards)
- Excellent Microsoft skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- This is an onsite role Monday to Friday
