**Hours**: Full time - hours as required, which may
involve evenings, weekends and sleeps)
**Location**: [Main Base Location: one of four homes
(identified at Interview Stage). May be required
to work at other homes].
**Job Purpose**
A Deputy Lead Therapeutic Parent (Deputy Manager) will work closely and supportively
with the Lead Therapeutic Parent (Registered Manager) to ensure high standards of care
are consistently maintained.
The Deputy Lead Therapeutic Parent (Deputy Manager) will play a key role in ensuring
that the homes operate at all times in accordance with all appropriate regulatory
frameworks and will deputise in the absence of the Lead Therapeutic Parent (Registered
Manager)
The postholder is responsible for the following:
To communicate with and represent Halliwell in liaison with all appropriate external
agencies.
To supervise senior staff and others, including chairing peer supervision meetings to
ensure support in role and exchange of good practice across the team.
Liaising with relevant outside agencies, representing Halliwell at meetings and maintaining
a high level of professionalism at all times.
Ensuring that the homes maintain consistent standards in line with The Restorative
Parenting Model.
Help to promote and embed a culture of safeguarding the welfare of children across all
areas of practice and education.
Main Duties
Working supportively with the Lead Therapeutic Parent (Registered Manager) to ensure
that the home is managed efficiently and effectively providing a therapeutic, healthy and
caring environment
Ensure the operation, reporting and recording procedures within the home maintain a high
standard meeting all appropriate regulatory requirements.
To complete weekly managers monitoring of all paperwork systems.
Supporting the Lead Therapeutic Parent (Registered Manager) to monitor children’s
progress ensuring that reports are completed on time and regular attendance at
appropriate meetings is undertaken by team members.
Liaising with the Lead Therapeutic Parent (Registered Manager), play a key role in
ensuring all homes are adequately resourced and supported to deliver Restorative
Parenting.
Liaising with the Lead Therapeutic Parent (Registered Manager) and Lead Teacher to
ensure effective communication between practice and education.
Promote and maintain a healthy and safe environment for all children and staff.
Working supportively with the Lead Therapeutic Parent (Registered Manager) play a key
role in ensuring that all members of the practice teams fully participate in training and that
robust supervision systems are maintained.
The post holder will be committed to continual professional development including
maintaining up to date training in Restorative Parenting.
The Responsibilities of the Deputy Lead Therapeutic Parent (Deputy Manager)
Ensure that the homes operate safe, high quality effective practices and maintain records
of a high standard.
Ensure the Home is fully prepared and ready for regular Ofsted inspections.
To be available to complete Regulation 44 visits.
Undertake Quality Assurance as agreed with the Lead Therapeutic Parent (Registered
Manager).
To complete Regulation 45’s every six months.
To promote Equal Opportunities at all times.
To complete workforce development assessments/staff files.
To assist with any other ad hoc duties commensurate to the job role and pay scale, as
directed by management.
