We have two exciting opportunities within the Data standards team as an Information Officer (Data Standards).
This position would suit an organised, methodical individual with an eye for detail, who understands information standards. The roles are focused on clearly identifying the key business, information and data requirements working closely with the Lead Specialist in Data Standards.
There are two positions, one will concentrate mainly on the Cancer Programme and the other will be involved in the development of an All Wales Intensive Care Information System and the Welsh Nursing Care Record system.
These post is fixed term/secondment for 18 months to meet the needs of the service.
NHS Wales relies on high quality data and information in order deliver safe and efficient patient care, to effectively plan new healthcare services, manage the performance of Welsh NHS Local Health Boards and Trusts and understand the cost of patient care delivered across Wales.
Data standards that are robust, intelligent and reflective of current clinical practice are required in order to underpin the reporting of reliable and consistent healthcare information by Welsh health organisations. DHCW plays a central role in the design, development and implementation of national information standards in order to ensure the collection and reporting of high quality information in support of ongoing improvements in patient care in Wales.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
