**Risk Manager**

**Role Purpose**

At Greene King we are looking for a Risk Manager to join our Risk team and provide clear and relevant guidance to our Metropolitan Pub Co team around health and safety, food hygiene and fire regulations. Working as part of a wider team of 10 risk professionals,this role offers the autonomy to manage risk across one of our business divisions and to manage your own day. This full time, permanent role is a field based role (ideally located in London or the South) with travel required across our managed pub estate.
**Key Accountabilities**
- Drive food hygiene rating performance within your divisional area of responsibility as well as driving broader H&S performance measured at NSF Audit
- Ensure compliance with H&S training & standards for all employees & businesses within your defined divisional area, providing insight and reporting as requested by the division
- Provide technical advice and case management for the company with regard to enforcement issues relevant customer complaints, poor audit results, safety policies & practices as they relate to H&S, fire safety& food safety
- Manage processes relating to reportable accidents and incidents occurring within the business, including investigation where necessary by site visits and to ensure relevant parties are informed of any findings and conclusions
- Provide technical advice to operational food team and divisional head of food with regard to safe food production and maintenance of appropriate controls to ensure safe processes are in place
- Promote a positive culture within the Company as a whole and their specific region / division with regard to food hygiene, health & safety and fire safety matters, championing & leading on these issues
- Work with external organisations, statutory agencies, & suppliers to ensure positive relationships and legal compliance is achieved.

**Required skills**

To be successful in this role you will have previous experience in a health and safety or risk focused role, including experience from a fresh food environment and knowledge of food hygiene. In addition to your experience, you will demonstrate the followingskills:

- Excellent relationship building skills across all levels
- The ability to present to and/or train in group environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
