**We operate agile working allowing you to spend 50% of your time working collaboratively with your team at either our Burton upon Trent or Bury St Edmunds offices, and 50% from home.**
**Job Purpose**
This is an exciting opportunity for the successful applicant to make a significant and longstanding impact on the future of Greene King via designing, proving and enhancing Greene King's Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans.
The Proven Recovery Manager reports to the Head of IT Support Services, and is responsible for the development, maintenance and successfully validation of Greene Kings Disaster Recovery (DR) planning, and alignment to relevant Business Continuity planning (BCP).
Proven experience of being a success in a similar role is essential.
The role requires a passionate and driven individual who can lead and develop a diverse, and dissipated team to deliver the priorities, driving a culture of continuous risk identification and removal across the business in DR and BCP areas.
This role is particularly suited to someone who enjoys handling multiple priorities at any given time, with the breadth of knowledge to drive technical improvements alongside the planning and preparation for future rehearsals,
Someone who excels in this role will need the skillset to set a strong and energising strategy that constantly pushes Greene Kings technical ability to recover forward and ensure business plans are able to minimise risk and maintain trade in the event of incidentbeing declared.
**Key Accountabilities**
- Understanding the current IT risk profile for Proven recovery of all IT systems (on Prem and SaaS) in line with Recovery Time and Recovery Point objectives (RTO and RPO) set by the business.
- Ensure IT DR mobilisation plans are through, tested and rehearsed on an ongoing basis.
- Development, coordination and delivery of a full schedule of scenarios and a testing programme, including conducting risk assessments as required in relation to scenarios and incidents
- Ensure alignment of resources and personnel to deliver this programme of regular rehearsals and improvement programme
- Taking the lead in the rehearsal process, co-ordinating internal Infrastructure, Network, Applications, Service and Security resources in addition to relevant 3rd parties' resources to create the required environments and controls.
- Undertaking reviews of previous rehearsals and identifying risk and required improvements.
- Working with relevant IT teams to deliver the required process or system improvements in aggressive timescales to limit risk
- Ensure alignment of IT DR planning against Business Continuity Plans (BCP) as adapt as required based on the business need.
- Work with IT business partners to co-ordinate BCP rehearsals with Business leads.
**About You**
- Proven experience in DR planning, execution and review
- Proven experience in Business Continuity Planning
- Excellent communication skills, combined with a high degree of enthusiasm, drive and commitment
- Ability to engage and prioritise work with other IT teams to ensure delivery of improvements in timescales agreed
- Passionate about reducing risk and improving recovery solutions
**Required Skills**:
- A degree or equivalent is preferred, as well as proven experience in IT Disaster Recovery.
- The ability to act as an interface between business and technology.
- The ability to build relationships with key customers' staff, at all levels.
**Preferred skills**
- Understanding of hospitality or brewing industry and relevant technologies
- Prince 2 Practitioner
