Dispensary Delivery Driver

Modality Partnership AWC Division has a vacancy for a Dispensary Delivery Driver. The postholder will work across the Division providing a professional and efficient delivery service to meet the demands and needs of medication and medical supplies. We are seeking dedicated postholders to join our team and who can display our CARE values: Commitment, Accountability, Respect and Excellence.

This job is suitable for individuals have a passion for working in an agile manner ensuring a high-quality delivery service. The postholder will be committed to make real changes to the health care services provided within Primary Care to improve patient care.

The job is not suitable to people who are not resilient to working in a fast-paced environment, working flexibly in line with ever changing demands in Primary Care and the wider NHS.

**Main duties of the job**

You will need to act in a polite and professional manner and have the ability to follow the practices policies and procedures to ensure patient safety. It is a requirement of employment that you follow practice policy in maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.

As well as good organisational and planning skills, you will be a good team player and able to work flexibly and change plans and routes when needed.

A full clean driving license if essential for this role.

The role is not a regular 9am-5pm job and is a patient facing role as you will provide an efficient delivery service both across site and to patients when required. The job requires innovation, flexibility, and commitment and the postholder will be required to work resourcefully as part of the team to ensure tasks are completed.

**Person Specification**:
**Knowledge**:
Essential
- Full UK Driver’s License (Clean)
- Delivery driver experience: 1 year (required)
- English Language Skills (Level 2 / GCSE equivalent)
- Business Driver Insurance

**Skills**:

- Fitness to drive - including declaration of any medical condition(s)
- Excellent safe driving
- Organisation
- Attention to detail
- Manual dexterity / Safe handling & lifting
- Ability to follow policies and procedures
