**Job Title Buyer**

**Department Procurement**

**Report To Procurement Manager**

**Purpose of Role**

**This is an exciting opportunity to join an established business in a newly created department. You will be instrumental in the early stages of setting up a Procurement Department and all works related to that through to the day to day purchasing of goods, services and equipment to help deliver our continued projects.**

**Role Accountabilities**

**1. **Vetting of Suppliers and Subcontractors.**

**2. **To process and obtain pricing through negotiation.**

**3. **Prepare requests for quotations and any relevant tender documents.**

**4. **Raise relevant PO’s with all relevant information.**

**5. **To expedite materials and services to site.**

**6. **Building and maintaining excellent relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.**

**7. **Maintain all relevant systems with updated information.**

**8. **Liaise with Project Managers and Commercial Teams to deliver on time and in full.**

**9. **Agility to deliver against ever changing requirements.**

**10. **Manage Supply Chain Risks**

**Who We Are Looking For?**

**You Will have the following**:

- **Previous experience of procurement processes within a construction environment working with both material and subcontractors.**
- **Excellent negotiating and communication skills.**
- **Strong commercial awareness, analytical skills and the ability to ensure best value procurement.**
- **Knowledge of “Coins” ERP system would be advantageous.**
- **Ability to build trust and develop strong relationships both internally and externally.**

**Salary**: From £30,000.00 per year
