Masstemps LTD are currently recruiting for a full time manufacturing team leader.

**The role**:
To provide first line supervision by effectively managing the departmental workload and staff resource to provide an efficient and smooth service. To ensure daily targets are met and quality targets are reached and maintained.

This position requires a high level of commitment and flexibility regarding additional working hours. You must be highly organised and possess excellent leadership qualities. You will be expected to manage a team of directs and be able to communicate with people at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan, organise and control activities of the shift to ensure Production, Quality targets and delivery schedules are achieved.
- Ensure good standards of housekeeping and maintain and role model a safe working environment.
- Complete daily production job sheets
- Complete scrap reports as necessary
- Aid in data collection as and when necessary.
- Implement and encourage continuous improvements.
- Communicate with both internal and external Customers and suppliers at all levels.
- Book and authorise holidays as necessary to maintain an efficient section.
- Train team members as necessary to provide a cross functional team with a diverseskill base.
- Carry out disciplinary action as per company procedures and with the support ofHuman Resources when required.
- Ensure information is communicated effectively to all team members.
- Maintain excellent safety practices within the section including the provision andmaintenance of safety equipment.
- Encourage new process development and the suggestions from the section.
- Manage the breakdown cover and machine availability in conjunction with the Maintenance Department and/or Engineering.
- Implement Planned Preventative Maintenance in conjunction with Maintenance Department.
- Liaising with other team leaders to achieve best performance and promoting best practice throughout the company.

**Skills and Attributes**:

- Computer literate
- Excellent communication skills at all levels.
- Numeracy, statistical awareness, and literacy skills are also essential elements in order to meet the demands of this challenging role.

**Qualifications and Experience Levels**:

- Previous experience as a Team Leader or section leader preferred.
- Background in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Good timekeeping and attendance are vital.

**Hours of work**:
Monday - Friday 6am-2pm

**Rate of pay**:
£17.00-£17.50 per hour

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temp to perm

**Salary**: £17.00-£17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
