Internal (QA) Auditor

Our client is a food manufacturing company that produces high quality dips and sauces and are based in Walsall, Midlands. Their site is a BRC AA grade site with a focus on high technical standards. The business is focused on producing bespoke goods specificto their customer needs. They are currently seeking an Internal (QA) Auditor to support the Technical function and the Company in maintaining its BRC AA grade and by ensuring staff adhere to company systems and procedures, and monitoring that all productsare manufactured to the highest possible standards of hygiene, food safety, authenticity, and legality.

Core responsibilities include:

- Internal auditing such as GMP, hygiene inspections, fabrication inspections, glass & plastic and CCP audits and trending.
- Assisting in investigation of customer complaints and other internal non-conformances.
- Product testing such as organoleptic, pH, aw and salt content.
- Raw material inspection and testing.
- Logging and managing non-conformances from any sources.
- Internal calibration and verification of testing equipment.
- Environmental swabbing such as ATP swabs, Internal listeria swabs, allergen and other lab swabs, raw material and finished products sampling.
- Reporting to the site management and the Group TM regarding continues improvement requirements in Food safety, quality and legality of the products.

**Skills & experience required for this role**
- Experience working in food or drink production in a quality assurance/technical role (could be via University placement).
- Experience working with high-care or chilled foods is an advantage.
- Working knowledge of food safety and food hygiene policies, health & safety procedures plus legal labelling.
- Qualifications including HACCP, Food Safety and Food Hygiene all highly preferred.
- Experience in internal auditing and BRCGS Food Safety requirements.
