Are you a passionate Senior Buyer, looking for an exciting new role?

Coulter Elite Resourcing are currently looking for a Senior Buyer to work with one of their well-established and very successful clients based in Peterborough working as part of the Purchasing Team.

As Senior Buyer you will be responsible for ensuring the day to day is running smoothing, trouble shooting and assisting the Purchasing Manager with any ad hoc projects. Would will also be responsible for management of the purchasing team.
The company are a well established and fast growing non-food FMCG manufacturing business.

**Principle Responsibilities for the Senior Buyer:

- **
- Identify projects to create efficiencies / gains in all of the below areas:

- Commercial - Cost Engineering / Tendering / Negotiation
- Supplier Management
- Processes
- Implement identified projects using risk management techniques to ensure full buy in with all stakeholders.
- Build relationships with key suppliers to enable a collaborative working relationship to mitigate commercial / service level impacts in the future.
- Influence and lead colleagues both within the Purchasing Department and beyond to resolve any Supplier Related issues.
- Bring an 'Anything Can Be Fixed' attitude to problem solving, collaborative approach with the wider teams.
- Maintaining accuracy on system inputted data to allow the best visibility for the planning and production departments. Influencing others to maintain the same level of discipline.
- Line management of Purchasing Professionals, ensuring and improving performance through a motivational and driven attitude.
- Root Cause analysis of problems, with a structured and collaborative approach to rectification.

**Person specification:

- **
- Excellent numerical skills : must be able to understand and advise on product costings.
- Experience with an MRP / ERP based system in a manufacturing environment.
- Exceptional organisational ability
- Must be able to communicate across all levels of the business, from factory floor to Senior Directors & externally with Suppliers and Freight companies.
- Has commercial acumen and an understanding of business issues
- Pivotal team player + has a collaborative approach
- Ability to multi-task and work on multi-projects - skilled at prioritising
- Deadline driven and motivated : self-starter : a 'can do' attitude
- Successful within a fast paced environment : responds well to pressure and change
- Professional, adaptable and flexible

**This is a full time permanent Senior Buyer position,
Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30 (4pm finish on a Friday)
Annual salary of up to £45,000
