An exciting opportunity has arisen in our **Risk &** **Compliance Team** for a permanent **Senior Compliance Business Partner **based at our Newport City Head Office.

Excellent relationship management, communication and decision-making skills are considered essential to ensure support and oversight provided is clear, proportionate and member focused.
**What will you be doing?**
- Providing SME regulatory knowledge to the Society, proactively adding value and driving improvement whilst also providing oversight and challenge.
- Regulatory horizon scanning - identifying and interpreting new regulatory developments impacting the Society, reporting these to key governance committees, and supporting the business in implementing regulatory change.
- Provision of Compliance and Conduct training, advice and support to the 1st line of defence.
- Promoting a strong compliance culture that is aligned with the broader Society culture and values.

What type of person will you need to be?*
- Proven Compliance experience within Financial Services in a similar role.
- In depth knowledge of regulations impacting retail banking and mortgage business models, including payment services.
- In depth understanding of conduct culture.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Effective decision-making skills.
- The ability to see the big picture.
- Excellent relationship management.
- A drive for leading change and continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in MS Office Packages.

**Salary**: Up to £45,000.00 per year
