Support Worker

**Are you looking for work that is truly fulfilling? Do you want a job where your influence will continue long after your shift ends? Could you support adults with a learning disability to live life on their own terms?**
You'll join our friendly team of Support Workers at a small and homely residential service in Wallasey, where we support 6 adults aged from 36 to 74 who like to be out and about as much as possible.
Susan* does voluntary work in a nursery two afternoons a week, she does this independently however she prefers to be supported to visit her mum who has Dementia. This support is very important to Susan as it helps her to maintain contact with her mum on a regular basis.
David* enjoys travelling on public transport, so we support him to navigate trains, buses and his particular favourite the ferry
Simon* likes to bake cakes, make pizza and smoothies. Could you see yourself being Simon's sous-chef?
You'll play a key role in making sure people live as independently as possible, helping them to remain active members of their local community and joining in with their favourite pastimes and hobbies. You could find yourself getting involved in arts and crafts one day, and going out to the cinema or a concert the next. We also maintain a lovely front garden and grow our own veg. The most important thing for the people we support here is that their staff are cheerful, positive and don't rush them.
This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. Shifts are worked on a rota basis to include days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
