We are seeking a confident and experienced Business Support Officer to assist with the implementation and management of our new online rota planning system. This temporary role is crucial for providing support across the vast Shropshire area, working closely with our operational team and Area Manager. In Shropshire we support adults in the Ludlow, Oswestry, Shrewsbury and Telford areas.

You will feel passionately about disabled people having the right to live gloriously ordinary lives as valued members of their communities. You will understand and have experience leading on transitions, which include supporting people out of secure settings and into their own homes. As the Business Support Officer, you will play a vital role in securing future growth, helping more people move out of secure settings and live in a place they call home, living a life that makes sense to them.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Rota Planning and Implementation: Support with the planning, implementation, and management of rota systems
- Financial Review: Assess all commissioned hours and review internal and external financial data. Liaise with internal finance colleagues and external contract commissioning/finance teams
- Occupancy Management: Assist in filling empty rooms and coordinate with external professionals, such as social workers
- Financial Reporting: Produce financial reports as required

**Essential Skills**:

- Financial Planning and Reporting: Proven experience in financial planning and reporting
- Social Care Knowledge: Understanding of the Social Care sector, specifically regarding commissioned hours according to the Care Act
- IT Proficiency: Excellent IT skills
- Rota Management: Experience in rota planning and implementation

The car allowance for this role is currently £2,000 a year, and reasonable mileage is claimed in addition.
