Founded in 2003 by two brothers, Steven & Michael Larkin, who have over 50 years of experience, we have transitioned from retailing to manufacturing and supplying to trade customers across the UK. **Role Description**: This is a full-time on-site role for a Warehouse Operative at Lark & Larks in Birmingham. The Warehouse Operative will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day logistics operations, including inventory management, coordinating shipments, monitoring delivery schedules, and ensuring efficient transportation. The role also involves working as part of a team and collaborating with various departments to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service. The role does involve delivering on our fleet of 3.5 ton box vans when required. **Key Responsibilities**: - Loading our own fleet of vehicles as per detailed paperwork - Unloading & loading delivery vehicles daily - To raise purchase orders as required - Issuing, as required goods to relevant departments meeting production schedules - Report any missing or damaged items - Management of stock levels - Ensuring any unused items/goods are returned to stores, recorded correctly and placed back as stock held - Maintain a safe working environment - Perform any other duties that may be deemed necessary to ensure the effective running of the department - Must have driving license and Counter balance forklift license. **Preferred Qualifications and Skills**: - Previous experience in a similar role - Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise your workload - Strong verbal and written communication abilities - Proficiency in IT, particularly with Excel spreadsheets - A positive, "can-do" attitude - Excellent communication skills and a strong team player, capable of meeting tight deadlines - Ability to work independently and take initiative - Keen attention to detail - Physical fitness, as the role requires heavy lifting **Salary** £25k-£28k dependent on experience. - Please note: Lark & Larks is a family business; we believe that developing strong working relationships is vital to the ethos of our company, we therefore prefer to employ a local workforce.
