We have vacancies for skilled Prototype Operatives to join our us in the design and development of new products.

**A little more about the role**

You will be accountable for standardising product and manufacturing support in your areas of expertise from NPD through to NPI and continuous improvement.

**Key responsibilities**

Ensure that all new products are feasible for production and capable of manufacture

Build prototype units and mock-ups to the correct standard to ensure they meet customer requirements

Support the CAD function within your knowledge base to meet NPD standards

Validate drawings, BoMs and specifications and raise the necessary OCRs to ensure that the information being produced is accurate and can be interpreted by the production team

Work with compliance specialists to ensure that the products meet regulation requirements

Support in developing production timings to ensure that they are accurate and to established methods

Develop training content for new and existing products including OPLs, training videos and care point document

Support production during the design approval build and as and when necessary to collaboratively solve problems throughout the manufacturing process and ensure operatives are trained to the standards required to produce the product to the customers’ expectations

Provide support and advice to process engineering to achieve standards in differing environments and locations

Support for showgrounds, shows and exhibitions, including product launches, siting of units, and product refreshes

**About You**

You must be time-served in at least one professional trade (engineering, joinery, gas fitting, plumbing, electrical etc) with exceptional knowledge and expertise. Ideally, you’ll be multi-skilled in a number of disciplines.

It is essential that you already possess a good understanding of the British (BS3632) and European (EN1647) standards for the building of holiday lodges.

You’ll also need a high level of IT literacy, being able to utilise various software packages

Given the nature of the role, you will have effective communication skills and be able to confidently coach colleagues of varying levels and capability.

You will also have a good understanding of, and a commitment to, safe working practices from your experience of working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
