Location**: Paneltex, Hull**

Reporting to**: Chargehand/Supervisor**

**Shift : Mon - Thurs 8:00am - 5:00pm Fri 8:00am - 12:30pm**

**Job Overview**

Working in a team environment you will be responsible for the development and manufacture of all moulds. You will ensure all mould servicing is managed and the ongoing development of the Mould and RTM Shops is achieved. You will also provide a positive link between other supply chain departments and management.

The work will involve the design of prototype patterns and moulds from our customers and internal panel drawings. You will make production moulds, and be responsible for repairing and servicing of existing moulds.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
- Provide a focal point for the production element within their area of responsibility.
- Liaison with non-production departments to ensure support is appropriate and effective.
- Making decisions with authority in relation to technical design of mould manufacture and RTM development.
- Ensuring all training requirements are met and carry out on the job training as appropriate in Mould shop, Mould servicing and RTM.
- Ensuring design, production and Health & Safety requirements are adhered to.
- Responsible for Technical design of Mould manufacturing, Mould servicing and RTM.
- Supporting and liaising with the various production supervisors.
- Ensure items produced within their area of responsibility are effectively inspected.
- Ensure materials allocated within their area of responsibility is stored to prevent deterioration and used appropriately.
- Ensure appropriate levels of stock are maintained
- Final inspection of items prior to them leaving their area of responsibility
- Ensure the level of workshop hygiene within their area of responsibility is appropriate and maintained.
- Open up and secure the works as required.
- Stocktaking and stock control within their area of responsibility
- Working to standard operating procedures to ensure highest quality is maintained at all times.
- Work with QA team to ensure that parts that are being manufactured effectively and according to drawings and specification books to ISO standards.
- Ensure required training courses are completed.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
- Back ground in GRP products.
- Must have organisational and communication skills.
- Also meet production tight deadlines.
- Good team player and excellent communicator.
- Understanding of quality processes.
- Listen and understand instructions and follow them.
- Full driving licence
- Good computer skills
- Flexible approach to work.

**Specific KPI’s and Deliverables**

Key Performance Indicators are vital in providing the business with information on how its operations are performing. For the production areas the KPI’s are largely focused around H&S, Quality, Delivery, People and Environment. There is not a prescriptive list as the KPI’s themselves will evolve as the business develops and grows; all Operatives are expected to contribute to improving levels of performance.
