Business Development Manager

Our client, a successful and well-respected financial services organisation, is currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager. As a Business Development Manager you will work as part of the mortgage team and identify, develop, and strengthen relationshipswith intermediaries to achieve objectives for mortgage business volumes.
Primarily, the role will be desk based (either onsite or remotely) alongside the existing Business Development Manager in their 'Intermediaries Solutions Hub’. There will be a requirement to conduct meetings with intermediaries virtually and face to faceand attend and participate in conferences and exhibitions to promote their brand.
Responsibilities for Business Development Manager:
- Receiving and taking ownership to resolve enquiries from Brokers by assessing their requirements and needs
- Follow-up on referred business leads in a timely manner to help drive cases through to completion.
- Identify and target key accounts for optimum sales opportunities.
- Design and develop operational plans for each Broker and be responsible for achieving new business targets from each key contact.
- Promote the businesses products and services addressing any issues or concerns to make informed business decisions in-line with the company lending criteria and policy.
- Build long term relationships with new and existing brokers / clubs / networks.
- Conduct research and collate Broker feedback to identify new markets and member needs and provide appropriate recommendations to the Product Development Committee.
- Be aware of market trends and competitors.
- Provide input into new product and policy development to ensure the company remains competitive.
Experience/qualifications required for Business Development Manager:
- CeMAP qualified
- Previous Business Development Management experience within the mortgage industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A pro-active and positive attitude
