**How you’ll help us make health happen**:
This strategic and operational role centres on upholding the standards established by the CQC, Healthcare Improvement Scotland (HIS), and Healthcare Inspectorate Wales (HIW). You shall play a critical role in navigating the complex healthcare regulatory landscape, ensuring that Bupa Health Clinics not only meet but exceed compliance benchmarks, ultimately delivering superior healthcare services across all facilities.

You will effectively manage and coordinate all regulatory changes initiated by associated regulatory and governing bodies and accrediting organisations. Additionally, you will provide robust support for quality initiatives across the organisation, encompassing regulatory activities, incident and risk management, as well as deputising for the Head of Governance, Quality and Risk as required.

You shall have 3 direct reports - Governance Manager Third Party, Documentation Control and Compliance Manager and Clinical Audit and Data Manager.

**What you’ll do**:

- Maintain an up-to-date log of all registered managers at our Bupa Health Clinics and registered regulated activities for provider registrations. Update the CQC, HIS & HIW provider portals with up-to-date statements of purpose when changes occur.
- Coordinate and manage accreditation processes for Bupa Health Clinics.
- Act as the primary point of contact for new/existing regulatory changes and manage any necessary processes resulting from these changes.
- Support the implementation of a robust clinical audit plan, overseeing the collection, review, and audit of quality measures within the designated areas of responsibility.
- Develop and implement a strategic approach to ensuring continuous compliance and ensure operational practices across all clinics align with relevant regulatory standards, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
- Assist the Head of Governance, Quality and Risk in achieving Bupa Health Clinics' governance, quality, and risk objectives and oversee relevant recommendations and action plans arising from internal and external inspections and monitoring visits.
- Lead and facilitate internal and external audits, ensuring preparedness and support for all involved and ensure all clinics are inspection-ready, adhering to regulatory and organisational standards.

**Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role**:

- Professional registration - NMC, HCPC or GMC.
- Extensive knowledge of CQC/HIS and HIW and other regulatory bodies.
- Excellent analytical, presentation and communication skills, influencing and negotiations and being able to demonstrate customer led thinking.
- Experience of leading and implementing audits, knowledge of regulatory compliance across the UK, using quality improvement projects and incident and risk management systems.
- It would be desirable to have formal root cause analysis training alongside experience in compliance auditing, stakeholder management and/or quality improvement projects.
