More detail about the role We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join the Radiology Team as an Apprentice Dual Energy X-Ray Absorptiometry (DXA) Assistant Practitioner. The training will involve a 2 year programme with the University of Plymouth whilst completing all practical aspects with us at North Devon District Hospital as our employee; on completion you will hold a Foundation Degree in Science (FdSC) as an Assistant Practitioner. The post holder will need to have knowledge of working within the Healthcare environment, they will demonstrate organisation, initiative and flexible-thinking, an ability to learn and work in a team, and enjoy a challenge.

You must also be able to work a typical roster pattern. The post holder must be willing and able to undertake the necessary training required to complete the course and will be placed on a Band 3 salary until they have completed the required competencies. You will be required to have: IT skills Level 3 qualification (eg NVQ 3, QCF 3) Be able to work as part of a team Be compliant with all mandatory training requirements Be able to commit to fully attending the academic blocks (2 weeks in September per annum) and modules required GCSE English and Maths grade C / 4. Functional Skills qualifications will be accepted in lieu of GCSEs.
