Job Introduction
As the Safeguarding lead you will be working as part of the Quality & Patient Safety Team at HCRG Care Group.** You will be required to work 37.5 hours between 8am and 6pm, Monday through to Friday, some of these hours can be carried out at home. You will not work be required to work at the weekend or bank holidays.**
Your key responsibility will be to work closely with the Head of Quality & Patient Safety to support all safeguarding activities necessary to ensure that HCRG Care Group meets its statutory responsibilities to safeguard and protect adults and children. This includes contributing to the organisational safeguarding agenda. You will work alongside other Quality & Patient Safety Team members, Service Managers, Head of Operations and Head of Business Unit.
You will report into the Head of Quality & Patient Safety, but have no direct reports yourself.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure that the organisation as a business unit meets its responsibilities for safeguarding.
- Provision of Safeguarding Supervision to all teams across the Business Unit.
- To contribute to the development of wider organisational safeguarding policies, processes and procedures.
- Contribute as required to the wider organisational safeguarding agenda.
- Participate in multi-agency subgroups.
- Provide assurance to the safeguarding sub-committee.
- Support and advise other professionals on relevant legal frameworks and documentation.
You will be a Registered Nurse or Midwife, educated to degree level.
You will have completed specific post-registration training in safeguarding adults prior to commencement in post including law, policy and practice at Level 2 or Post Graduate Diploma (PGDip).
You will have a minimum of three years experience practising in the field of safeguarding.
You will have the ability to write detailed and comprehensive reports and reviews.
You will also need to be confident using IT systems and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel.
