Deputy Manager
, you'll play a key role in supporting our team, developing best practice, and ensuring the highest standards of care.
The Role
Working alongside the Registered Manager, you'll:
- Lead and supervise staff on shifts, including a minimum of
2 sleep-ins per week - Support the day-to-day running of the home and ensure robust staff cover
- Safeguard and promote the wellbeing of children and young people
- Deputise in the Registered Manager's absence, including during Ofsted inspections
- Provide on-call support and make confident decisions around casework, risk management, and safeguarding
- Support staff development through supervision, coaching, and appraisals
- Work closely with families, professionals, and partner agencies
About You
We are looking for someone who is confident, resilient, and passionate about making a difference with a sense of fun
Essential requirements:
- Experience in C
hildren's Residential Care - Strong leadership and staff supervision skills
- Knowledge of
child development
and supporting young people with additional needs - Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- Flexibility to work shifts, sleep-ins, and take part in the on-call rota
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car
