**Business Development Executive - Channel**(ISV / SI / Partner Sales)
My client is an award-winning technology company who is looking to add an experienced Business Development Director to their established team.
The role of the Business Development Executive is predominantly a field based, customer facing sales role, responsible for deep relationship development to deliver margin growth within a number of strategic accounts. The key to success in this role willbe the leverage and maintenance of strong relationships with key stakeholders up to board level. The role requires the ability to use solution and diagnostic sales techniques to sell a wide range of services to deliver measurable business value.
The role carries an annual sales target broken down quarterly and based on a growth plan. The role also requires high levels of opportunity and pipeline management skills.
**Business Development Executive Responsibilities**
- Executing complex sales motions through strategic partners including SI's, SP's and ISV's
- Creating, developing, and nurturing relationships to expand presence within target partners
- Support direct sales teams within partners to maximise joint end user sales opportunities
- Recruitment of new channel partners driving Power Cloud and Azure consumption and managed services.
- Continuous assessment / development of the Channel offering to meet market demand
- Meeting and exceeding agreed quarterly and annual margin targets - following an agreed ramp up.
- Promoting and presenting Internal propositions to new partners
- Be an active part of the sales team
- Work closely with lead generation and marketing teams to tune the offering and lead generation effectiveness in the UK arena
- Work closely with our strategic and target vendors and partners to generate opportunity
- Inputting into proposition and product devolvement cycles to ensure relevance of proposition and market alignment
**Business Development Executive Requirements**
- Proven sales capability in the IBM Power arena, experience within Enterprise client's delivering new or transformation services on Power architectures.
- Experience in the management and development of ISV or channel offerings in IBM Power services and/or Azure modernisation services.
- Ability to identify, articulate and promote how professional services can help a client in order to achieve their business objectives
- Ability to question effectively whilst gaining an understanding of the prospect/clients' business needs
- Be able to demonstrate and articulate a solid understanding of the dynamics of the market including market trends, industry issues and key political forces
- Understand the environment in which a prospect/client operates and maintain awareness of all activity within it
- Capable of presenting business & technology roadmaps which demonstrate how a client can drive maximum value from their technology for competitive advantage
- Demonstrate the necessary communication and interpersonal skills to interact with and present to clients at every level
- Understand the sales / buying cycle and be capable of managing a client's needs from the beginning through to the point of order
- Establish consistent and thorough pipeline management
- Capable of time management, highly organised and capable of prioritising workload based on the clients' expectations
- Demonstrate dedication, drive and ambition with an ability to work comfortably in a dynamic passionate environment
