The Shared Lives Service are looking to welcome new carers to become a part of their service, supporting adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities, as a part of your family within your own home, either on a long or short term basis. Our carers support individuals to live a fulfilled life as part of their community. Accessing a range of opportunities, supporting to attend medical appointments, overseeing and managing finances, as well as supporting them on a holiday each year.
As a registered carer you will receive - exceptional ongoing support from the Shared Lives Team and will have access to high quality training. You will also qualify for tax exemptions; whilst also being in receipt of a **payment of between £500- £650 per week.**
You will be required to under go a thorough assessment process, which involves - attending mandatory training, a home check, enhanced DBS check, completing a carer profile about your family/home, reference checks and attending the Shared Lives Panel for final approval.
