**Internal Recruiter**

**£38,000 base plus £12,000 commission**

**Job Purpose**:To provide a cost effective recruitment function for the successful hire of permanent and temporary employees against agreed timescales and business unit budgets.

**Duties/responsibilities/accountabilities/deliverables**

List the main aspects of the job, with an emphasis on duties and responsibilities for junior roles, and accountabilities and deliverables for more senior roles.
- Establishing a close relationship with Hiring Managers across the designated contract
- Provide an on site presence for recruitment, liaising with stakeholders at varying levels
- Ensure that all line managers are aware of the process for recruiting new internal and external employees and that the recruitment department is the single point of contact for all recruitment requests
- Ensure that all headcount requests and offers of employment are correct and approved in conjunction with the authority sign off matrix
- Ensure strong relationship is developed with the PSL of agencies, giving them a thorough understanding of the process for recruiting new employees
- Collaborate with the HR community on internal resource to enhance talent management or redeployment
- Attending management meetings on site as the representative for recruitment to discuss talent mapping, recruitment campaigns and methods of talent attraction
- Support line managers at with the interview process where applicable
- Utilising alternative recruitment methods and non agency recruitment channels to reduce recruitment agency reliance
- CV sifting on all vacancies to ensure only a short list of Cvs per vacancy is submitted to hiring manager

**Resource responsibilities**

Indicate the typical number of direct reports, financial responsibility, control over subcontractors and any responsibility for assets, systems or outsourced services.

**Person specification**
- Extensive experience of volume in house recruitment desirable
- Knowledge of Preferred Supplier List arrangements
- Proven experience in designing and running assessment centres
- Knowledge of E-recruitment
- A full understanding of temporary recruitment costs including margins and mark ups
- Knowledge of recruitment advertising an advantage
- Previous experience of arranging and monitoring secondments or redeployment of staff an advantage
- Extensive experience of both face to face and telephone interviews
- High degree of proficiency with Word, Excel and Power Point

- Good communication skills and resilience under pressure
- Ability to build strong working relationship with internal and external stakeholders and external
- Has sufficient tenacity and determination to manage the internal customer
- Self starter and able to grasp/support change processes

Team player and good sense of humour
