We are recruiting for a highly organised, enthusiastic & proactive Merchandising Administrator to join our Merchandising team, working closely with Retail, Operational & Marketing teams across our dynamic and thriving business.
**The Role**
- Reporting into the Merchandising Manager, you will be directly responsible for supporting a selection of galleries with their stock requirements.
- You will liaise with the Retail Area Managers and gallery staff on a day-to-day basis, understanding the unique requirements of each location in order to supply appropriate artwork to ensure each gallery is merchandised to its highest potential.
- You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the correct stock is allocated for new gallery openings, new artwork releases, events & tours, and for day-to-day replenishment.
- You will be instrumental in driving sales by analysing the bestselling artwork in each gallery, and strategically allocating to get the right artwork in at the right time.
- You will help to facilitate potential sales by being a first point of contact for gallery staff, efficiently answering their stock queries and providing proactive advice on the available portfolio of artwork.
- You will be responsible for ensuring that all stock allocations are prepared and uploaded accurately into our bespoke system.
- You will also be responsible for the uploading of products onto both the Whitewall Galleries and Clarendon Fine Art websites and will support with our Live Chat feature on both sites, assisting clients with their queries and passing potential leads to galleries.
- You will be actively encouraged to identify opportunities and feedback to the business any product insights gained from galleries and your own analysis.
**Requirements**:
- You will have a proven ability to build relationships, with galleries and support colleagues.
- You will be an effective problem solver and think on your feet.
- You must have exceptional organisation skills, excelling at working to deadlines and adapting to changing priorities.
- You will enjoy working independently and as part of a supportive team.
- You will have strong IT skills (Microsoft Office, databases, in-house systems).
- Experience of merchandising and driving sales within a Retail business is desirable.
**Working hours**:
- 09:00 - 17:30 Monday to Friday with one day per week working 09:30-18:00 (this will include being “on call” until 21:00 - paid at overtime).
- You will be required to work one weekend in every five/six, and will get the days back in lieu during the week when on weekend shifts.
