Video Content Creator

**CIM** is seeking a **Video Content Creator** to join our Creative Team here in Cookham, Berkshire.
The role of Video Content Creator is responsible for the conceptualisation and production of video content. You’ll live on social media, understand how the needs of target audiences differ, and how to optimise for different channels, ensuring our business is best represented across all touchpoints.
The Video Content Creator will be practised in taking videos from concept through to completion and working as part of the wider marketing team, reporting to the Creative Manager.
Hybrid working is fully embedded in CIM's company culture. The Creative team follow a model of both onsite and remote working, prioritising collaboration and communication, currently 2 days office / 3 days remote, per week. To help us stay connected we use Microsoft Teams.
**In a typical day may include**:
**Creative delivery**:
- Interrogate briefs and develop creative video solutions
- Excel at long and short-form storytelling, including the ability to execute across a wide range of video styles - emotional, instructional, promotional, documentary, etc
- Solid understanding of how video production techniques must differ to meet the brief’s objective and the channel(s) in which the video will appear
- Continuously push the boundaries of creative video editing and storytelling across all business units, helping develop and execute ideas and maintaining the integrity of the concept through the finished piece
- Efficiently optimise content for best performance on social platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok
- Source creative footage to support content and concepts
- Prioritise workload as required to meet the team schedule and deliver projects to agreed deadlines
- Keep the Creative Manager and other key stakeholders informed of project status
- Maintain good, effective working relationships with the marketing team and other CIM departments
- Keep on top of new software and platform developments, as well as new video and communication trends
- Conduct photography/videography as required, to record CIM live events for content creation
- Ensure CIM brand guidelines are always adhered to but also proactively look for ways to evolve how we communicate across our channels
**For this role, you’ll need**:
**Skills**:
- Highly proficient in a range of video software, including Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
- Motion graphic skills (predominantly using text and transitions)
- Experienced in all skills and techniques required to produce cut-through video content, with the ability to combine footage, text, dialogue, and music
- Conceptual and lateral thinker, with a strong creative eye
- Ability to use a DSLR camera for both filming and photography
- An efficient understanding of studio equipment (lighting, tripods, etc.)
- Expertise with colour correction/grading
- Up-to-date understanding of digital channels and their use within marketing
- Working with brand guidelines and being a brand guardian
- Highly organised and able to balance multiple tasks concurrently
- Strong presentation skills and able to deliver complex content in a clear and compelling manner
- Knowledge of media law, including copyright and consent, and ethical considerations, is also desirable.

**Qualifications / Experience**:
- Experience editing videos in a professional capacity, ideally with a social media focus.
