Job Introduction **Business Support Lead - Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)** **Education Business Support Team - Children’s Services** **Is it time for a change and a new challenge? Are you ready to make a real difference?** Solihull’s Education Business Support Team are looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic and adaptable Business Support Lead to manage the Education support team who provide high quality, effective, timely and customer focussed administrative support for managers & specialist staff within our Specialist Inclusion Support Service (SISS) and Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) Team. As Business Support Lead for the Specialist Inclusion Support Service (SISS) and Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) Team, you will be leading a team of Business Support Officers who work across a number of multi-disciplinary teams, supporting various stakeholders. SISS is a high quality, highly valued local service working closely with Solihull’s maintained schools, academies and settings to support children and young people with a range of Special Educational Needs. The role will be based at Solihull Council House with occasional travel to Elmwood Place to help support our SISS team. This is an extremely rewarding position where your work and contribution are really valued. This is an opportunity to work within a well-established Childrens Services Directorate, that focuses on supporting the educational needs of the children within the borough. To be successful within this role, you will need to demonstrate you are an experienced manager/ team leader, who is committed and able to multi-task to support managers and staff with various competing priorities. An important part of the role is to be able to engage effectively with colleagues within and outside the council - responding to queries and referrals effectively so excellent communications skills are essential. Further information about Solihull SEND can be found here: support/localoffer" style="background-color:transparent;color:rgb(19,50,69);text-decoration:none;">Solihull Local Offer | solihull.gov.uk To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to demonstrate: - A relevant Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) or the ability to demonstrate extended experience which enables you to carry out the full range of duties. - Experience of managing /supervising a team. - Experience of working within administration including analysing and interpreting data. - Ability to work with multiple stakeholders, managing their competing deadlines. - Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. - A passion for delivering high quality customer service within Education Business Support services.
