Are you an experienced Design Engineer within Engines/Engine Components looking for a new opportunity? I'm currently recruiting a Contract position based in Northampton offering a competitive rate Outside IR35. **Responsibilities** - To conduct feasibility studies, design engine components, systems and vehicle installations - To carry out value analysis/value engineering programmes - To create design drawings including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing - To present to clients in relation to the design work - To design test parts for development testing - To liaise with program suppliers, internal and external customers - To work together with other engineers in the business - To supervise less experienced staff - To monitor project progress and financial position relevant to the allocated tasks - To support the preparation of engineering program quotations **Requirements**: - Relevant experience in the field of engine component and system design - It is desirable to have experience in one of the major CAD systems used in automotive design (**CREO or CATIA V5**) - Knowledge of engineering fundamentals - Numerical and analytical skills - Familiarisation with Instrumentation techniques and hardware would be an advantage - Understanding of FMEA (Failure Mode Effects Analysis), DVP (Design verification plans) and problem solving techniques **Remuneration** - Opportunity for overtime Disclaimer: This vacancy is being advertised by either Advanced Resource Managers Limited, Advanced Resource Managers IT Limited or Advanced Resource Managers Engineering Limited ("ARM").
