Visitor Experience Officer

Join our great team Part time opportunity available working at the Cheshire and Wirral portfolio, mainly between three of our places, Little Moreton Hall, Hare Hill and Alderley Edge so new two days will be the same.

With engaging stories to tell, there’s always something to share with our visitors, and it will be you job to make sure we’re doing that all year round.
The role is for 22.5 hours over three days per week, preferably Wed-Fri although there is some flexibility around which weekdays are worked. Hours are 9am-5pm to cover the opening hours of Little Moreton Hall and Hare Hill. This role also involves some weekend, bank holiday and occasional evening work.

What it's like to work here:As part of the Experience and Welcome team at the Cheshire and Wirral portfolio, you will be joining a dedicated team of around 35 staff and volunteers who are the first point of contact for our visitors.
Working closely with the Looking After and Outdoor teams, this role plays a key part in the delivery of our visitor programming and marketing, as well as helping with the day to day running of Little Moreton Hall as part of the duty management team. There is plenty of opportunity to liaise with other properties and our regional team, with opportunities to develop marketing and programming skills and share expertise.

What you'll be doing:As a Visitor Experience Officer, you’ll be responsible for the delivery of effective interpretation and engaging programming to deliver a year round offering of events at the property. Working alongside the Visitor Experience Manager, you’ll develop engaging and meaningful interpretation that can teach, move and inspire our visitors. This role is a job share to cover a secondment and is line managed by the Experience and Visitor Programming Manager.
Understanding how and why we engage our supporters is key. Working with our spirit of place, you’ll work with the visitor welcome team to link everything we do back to our cause and the on-going work we do. You’ll deliver high standards of presentation at the property, and ensure all our communications with our visitors, from the first click on the website, to the posters and signs around the property are clear and consistent. As a champion of exceptional visitor experiences, you’ll join a high performing team and will regularly be involved in the duty management rota helping run the visitor operation.

- Experience of developing or delivering events or activities for families.
