Animal Welfare Visitor and Foster Support North

**Join our expanding Autism Dogs Charity welfare team and play a key role in supporting the early development of future Autism Assistance Dogs.**
**About the Role**
We’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate **Animal Welfare Visitor** to oversee and support foster placements across the North West. This role is vital in ensuring the health, welfare, and foundational training of puppies and adolescent dogs preparing to become autism assistance dogs.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Conduct in-person welfare visits to dogs in foster or puppy placement homes.
- Provide hands-on guidance to families on key welfare areas including:
- Toilet training
- Nutrition
- Basic first aid
- General dog wellbeing
- Submit detailed welfare reports and escalate concerns as needed.
- Liaise closely with the training team to ensure a consistent approach.

**Essential Requirements**
- Proven experience in dog care, veterinary support, or animal behaviour
- Confidence in offering practical advice and submitting welfare reports
- Access to your own car (travel is required across the region)
- Willingness to undergo a DBS check

**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: £24,960.00 per year
Expected hours: 24 per week
