**Derivatives Documentation Specialist**

As a Barclays Derivatives Documentation Specialist, you’ll work within Global Markets. The Resource Management Group’s (RMG) core objectives range from managing non-product risks to allocating capital and optimising the firm’s collateral. You’ll play a key role in trading & collateral risk decisions. Get this opportunity to ensure consistent decision making across derivative Master & Collateral documentation and around derivatives documentation changes with either an economic impact or potential litigation risks.

**What will you be doing?**
- Reviewing and approving/rejecting non-standard documentation requests that are escalated by Legal for ISDA Masters, CSAs, GNAs, and similar
- Taking decisions in the best interests of the markets business. Consulting with Trading desks, Operations teams, the Collateral Optimisation Unit (COU), etc
- Supporting and advising trading desks on client derivative close-outs and the management of defaulted ISDA claims
- Being responsible for keeping current with market standard practice in terms of derivatives trading and documentation, including regulation driven change
- Engaging in ad-hoc project work to support broader Investment Bank strategic initiatives (e.g. client repapering or offboarding)
- Engaging with regulatory enquiries and to demonstrate how the bank’s collateral practices meet regulatory requirements, as necessary
- Collaborating with both senior and junior members of Sales, Trading, Legal, Operations, and Counterparty Risk Trading, as well as RMG/COU management

**What we’re looking for**:

- Good working knowledge and understanding of document management/workflow systems
- Derivatives product expertise
- An ability to be decisive while escalating judiciously

**Skills that will help you in the role**:

- Legal expertise in a documentation, litigation and/or business law context
- Experience of collateral operations
- Expertise in credit risk management and/or trading
- Practical experience of financial distress, workout situations, etc

In the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place boasts onsite amenities such as; a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and is easily accessible by tube and bus links.
