**Job description**:
**The role and our team**

TINS (Trade and Investment Negotiations, Services) Directorate’s mission is to help UK service suppliers and investors to thrive in a changing environment. We create opportunities for businesses by ensuring that the UK’s trade and domestic regulatory frameworks work in tandem to deliver for services, investment, and UK professionals.

The directorate is currently implementing the Professional Qualifications Act and preparing to review the EU-derived Provision of Services Regulations. We are taking action to sanction Russian businesses benefiting from the UK’s services sector; implementing trade agreements with the EU and helping to ensure that UK businesses have access to new overseas market through new Free Trade Agreements.

We are looking for an enthusiastic new team member to help shape UK regulation in the services sector. You will help us determine what regulation we need and how we make it function effectively and efficiently for UK businesses and consumers.

**Person specification**:
**Key responsibilities**

You will have lead responsibility for shaping and delivering the TINS domestic strategy. Working within the TINS Business Engagement, Corporate Support and Strategy team, you will be managed by a Grade 7, who has responsibility for Domestic Strategy and Business engagement.

Being naturally curious, you will want to talk to stakeholders, interrogate the evidence base and build consensus on priorities for action. You will be responsible for tracking progress, identifying risks, and suggesting changes to keep TINS’ domestic regulation projects on course.

You will use your communication skills to make the case for changes which improve outcomes for service professionals and their clients. You will test ideas through formal and informal networks, before presenting your ideas and getting buy-in from our senior leadership team.
