A varied Finance Assistant role.
**Client Details**
A leading charitable organisation that adds value to the community they serve.
**Description**
- Managing a portfolio of customers ensuring accurate billing, timely payment and resolution of unpaid debts.
- Liaising with sensitive customers where empathy, patience and understanding is required
- Calculation of backdated invoicing and raising credits in relation to annual fee uplifts
- Reconciliation of unallocated cash in a timely manner to allow for accurate month end reporting
- Responding promptly and accurately to all internal and external queries in relation to sales invoicing, debtors and credit control
- Attending weekly Debtors meetings with Financial Controller, Credit Control Manager
- Monthly meetings with Regional Managers to review debts
- Approval of Local Authorities pro-formas to ensure timely payment
- Ensuring all sales invoices are raised in an accurate and timely manner, liaising with relevant operational staff to ensure the accuracy and completeness of invoicing
- Ensuring sales invoices include / exclude VAT as appropriate

**Job Offer**
- Achievement of, or working towards, a recognised accounting qualification (desirable)
- Experience developed in a similar or equivalent role (essential)
- Experience of working in the not for profit sector and/or for a service provider (desirable)
