UK Transportation Operations Specialist Overview
Amazon Transportation Services is looking to hire a motivated, highly committed, and customer-obsessed Transport Specialist. A Transportation Specialist facilitates flow of information between different stakeholders (Amazon Fulfilment/ Carrier/ Amazon Stations, etc.) and resolves any potential issues that impacts customer experience and delivery performance. A Transportation Specialist provides timely resolution to the issue in hand by researching & querying internal tools, by taking real-time decisions and having an effective communication with the stakeholders (verbal and written).
A day in the life
- Reporting and analysis using microsoft
- Executing allocated tasks following specific timelines
- Escalating if risk of not meeting deadlines
- Assisting in producing/delivering metrics
- Continuous review of processes to identify improvements
- Assisting in training other team members
- Use knowledge to determine which procedure is needed to achieve desired outcome (or if deviation is needed)
- Prompt response and action upon leadership requests
- Identify and eliminate root causes of defects in order to drive efficiency
- Develop relationships and communicate with various stakeholders
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to help improve process efficiency and quality
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher / Equivalent) required
- >1-year experience in Logistics or Transportation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
