**Your Mission: Lead, Protect, and Innovate**

As our **DPO**, you'll lead our data privacy strategy, ensuring we exceed our legal requirements, creating a environment of trust and safety for our players when it comes to their data. This is what you will be doing:

- **Data Protection Compliance**
- **Set the Standard**:Own the development, implantation and continual refinement of our data protection policies, to meet all relevant regulations globally (GDPR, CCPA etc)
- **Audit and Adapt**: Create and manage system for regular monitoring and auditing of our DP activities ensuring regulatory and companies are met.
- **Bridge to Regulators**: Own the relations with all relevant data protection authorities, and own any reporting requirements with accuracy and efficiency.
- **Risk Management**
- **Stay Ahead of Risks**:Take ownership if data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and identify and plan for any flagged risks.
- **Secure by Design**: In partnership with IT/Infosec teams ensure a robust framework is in place for all stages of data handing, to prevent any access issues.
- **Training and Awareness**
- **Educate and Empower**: Be SME for training programmes related to data, supporting the entire business understand their role, and relevant risks of personal data.
- **Stay on the Pulse**: Ensure knowledge base relating to data protection within the company is updated, driving compliance at all times.
- **Legal Guidance and Support**
- **Contract Mastery**: Provide advice on data protection matters, ensuring every contract is airtight when it comes to protecting personal data.
- **Breach Response**: Take the lead in handling data breaches, coordinating with legal teams and regulatory bodies to ensure swift and transparent communication.
- **Customer Relations**
- **Champion of Privacy**: Manage customer inquiries about data privacy with transparency and empathy, ensuring they feel secure and valued.
- **Frontline Collaboration**: Work closely with customer support to ensure all data privacy communications are clear, accessible, and compliant.
- **Data Governance**
- **Govern with Precision**: Oversee the maintenance of data processing records and ensure data retention policies are strictly adhered to.
- **Collaborate for Success**: Partner with IT and other teams to integrate data protection controls into our systems and processes.

**What You’ll Bring to the Table: Your Skills and Expertise**
- **Education & Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Data Protection, Information Security, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in a data protection role, preferably within a tech or gaming environment.
- **Bonus Points**: Legal expertise in contract law or regulatory compliance is a strong advantage.
- **Skills & Competencies**
- Mastery of GDPR/CCPA, and other key data protection regulations, and desire to build knowledge of developing regulations.
- Deep understanding of data processing in customer-facing environments.
- Able to communicate complex privacy concepts clearly, even to non-experts.
- Analytical thinker with problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
- Independent and capable of working autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
- **Certifications**
- **Nice to Have**: Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), or equivalent certifications.
