**The Role - QC Supervisor**
Fresh People are currently recruiting for a QC Supervisor for our client a Fresh Produce Service provider based around the Sittingbourne location on a 4 on 4 off shift rota. The role is to Lead the intake quality team. Ensure all product arriving on site is checked against customer requirements and reported accurately.
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Manage intake quality team
- Ensure that accurate QA reports are completed and input on the system
- To work safely and report any hazards or near misses
- Maintain hygiene standards with the QC controlled areas
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the specifications required for each customer and product line
- Ensure that all temperature logs and recorders are identified, downloaded and sent to the customer with the QC reports
- Ensure that in the instance that a potential claim is identified that the Customer is contacted and are supplied with the QA reports prior to sending information to the suppliers
- Ensure that the Customers required quality standards are efficiently and effectively maintained at all times
- Effectively communicate to customers and suppliers where necessary
- Ensure that equipment is correctly calibrated and all faulty or damaged equipment is reported to the Intake & Ripening Manager.
- Provide training for new members of the intake QC team included temporary agency staff
- To work efficiently and effectively ensuring that you contribute to the daily Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) of the department as set by the Intake & Ripening Manager and the needs of the business.
- To maintain high levels of health, safety, hygiene and housekeeping (clean as you go)
