A successful beauty & gifting manufacturer is looking for a Junior Product Technologist to assist with ensuring global compliance standards are met and all relevant testing certification is obtained. This brand supply major retailers in both the UK & US, and are going from strength to strength.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within beauty and cosmetics Compliance / Product Technology within a company with global market reach.

**Duties and responsibilities of this Junior Product Technologist include**:

- Assist with the management and organisation of all technical data, ensuring all safety tests and technical files are complete before shipment
- Input on what testing needs to be completed for each product, monitoring the price of testing so projects can be costed accurately
- Build, develop and maintain supplier relationships so information is given in a timely manner including all technical data and audits
- Review all artwork for compliant safety text for the countries in which it will be shipped
- Understand the critical path of projects so you know that products are being delivered on time and to the correct technical specification
- Learn to be technically proficient with all portals from clients and licensors
- Keep technical data in the appropriate files so it is easy to find for future projects
- Work closely with the Technical Manager and external safety assessors to get timely and detailed information back
- Ensure that any issues are quickly resolved, and key people are alerted
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure all are up to date on projects
- Provide support and assistance to the wider business and departments as required

**The successful **Junior Product Technologist will have the following qualities**:

- 1+ years’ experience within a compliance, administrative or technologists role within beauty
- A degree associated with Formulation or Cosmetics with be advantageous
- Experience in product development or critical path management would be ideal
- Knowledge and experience of UK and EU regulatory systems and notification portals huge benefit
- Highly accurate, numerate, methodical and analytical
- Excellent organisational skills, deadline driven, and first-class attention to detail
- An excellent communicator, both written and verbally, with the ability to form solid relationships both internally and externally
- Being comfortable when working under pressure and acting on your own initiative
- Solid Microsoft Office skills, including Excel (VLOOKUP’s, Pivot Tables, etc)
- A proactive approach, passionate and a real team player who is happy to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in
