**Job title: MIS Data and Compliance Lead**

**Salary: £**30,000-£35,000 depending on experience

**Hours**: 37.5 hours per week

**Reporting to**: The Director

**Main purpose**

As the **MIS and Compliance Lead**, you will serve as the organisation’s specialist in both Management Information Systems (MIS) and GDPR/data compliance.

Your role is essential in maintaining data integrity, supporting funding claims, and ensuring the organisation operates within legal and quality assurance frameworks. You’ll provide senior leadership with critical insights and reporting that drive business alignment and performance.

Duties and responsibilities

**1. MIS (Management Information Systems)**
- Manage and maintain learner data via MIS platforms (e.g. PICS).
- Manage the Individualised Learner Record (ILR) submission process with accuracy and timeliness, ensuring compliance with funding guidance.
- Monitor learner data and records, including enrolments, past end dates, completions, destinations, and progression.
- Ensure timely and accurate data input and updates across all learner records and contracts.
- Undertake any other relevant duties given by Operations Lead

**2. Reporting & Business Intelligence**
- Produce a wide range of reports for:

- Senior management and stakeholders
- Bid development
- Performance against KPIs
- Quality Improvement planning and progress tracking
- Compliance standards and audit risk
- Analyse learner achievement, retention, and outcomes to drive performance improvements.
- Use BI tools to extract and present meaningful insights from large data sets.
- Contribute to the college’s self-assessment and quality improvement processes by ensuring accurate, timely, and high-quality data informs decisions.

**3. Compliance & Governance**
- Ensure compliance with data protection legislation, including GDPR, and contribute to policy development in this area.
- Conduct regular compliance desktop audits, identifying risks, errors, or misreporting, and flagging areas for improvement.
- Manage documentation for internal and external audits; coordinate audit responses and corrective actions.
- Administer awarding body portals: book exams, download certificates, and ensure accurate learner registrations.
- Support governance processes: maintain records of tutor qualifications, CPD logs, insurances, and regulatory documentation.
- Ensure that users have appropriate access levels and that sensitive information is stored securely across all systems.

**4. Stakeholder Engagement**
- Act as a key liaison with external stakeholders, including funding bodies, awarding organisations, and audit teams.
- Communicate clearly with delivery teams, quality assurance, and leadership to ensure cross-functional understanding of compliance obligations.
