An exciting opportunity has come up in the Front Door Service and we are currently seeking to recruit a full time Senior Practitioner who will work across our busy service which is responsible for receiving requests for support, new referrals and contacts, gathering further information and making enquiries as necessary to determine the correct level of support required for children, young people and their families.
The role includes supporting Team Managers with triage and assessment of contacts and referrals, the organisation and sharing of strategy discussions as well as the opportunity for the successful applicant to take a service lead in the implementation of strategy discussion developments where themes arise and needs dictate and to support colleagues in embedding the accompanying practice utilising core social work skills underpinned by the Kent Integrated Children's Services Practice Framework
Successful applicants will hold a degree in social work, CQSW, DipSW or equivalent and will have a variety of post-qualification experience of working within Children’s Services, holding positions at experienced Social Worker level or above.

- Ability to learn, reflect and develop.
This post is considered by Kent County Council to be a customer facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh Sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
